Since my brother’s successful search in finding me, I have enjoyed, apart from the vast amount of magazines and tabloid interest, experienced numerous television and radio slots and thoroughly enjoyed all the media attention. I enjoy reading, literary discussions, art, going to chic restaurants, entertaining and anything hilarious! |
Some of the reasons that prompted me into writing this author autobiography were attributed firstly by the sheer interest shown by the media, including television, radio and newspapers from all over the world. Secondly, I was approached by a known international syndicated features agency who requested to write my story for me (I politely declined). Annabel published a feature in their magazine and it was reported to me that my story had moved many readers to tears. Even years after the events, when I thought the matter had died down, it re-emerged with further interest particularly with the Evening Standard, followed by an interview with a BBC broadcast (Tuesday Live) and a proposal of a significant feature in the Mail which I rejected as it made me think: Why not write the tale myself? I feel I am the right person to write my story as it really happened - in its intrinsic heartfelt atmosphere. Furthermore, I strongly felt that my story would also convey a message of hope as it deals with a vital issue of our times: the thousands of young people in Britain who who just disappear.
With many months and months of research I've been fortunate enough to write my true story - and hopefully delight in being able to share my a rather unusual true story about my experiences and adventures with a wider public. Surviving all sorts of dangers, deprivation and the strong arm of the law, this author autobiography book has all the ingredients of a romantic and adventurous saga, full of stress, struggles, tears, sadness, laughter, wit and even suspense.
Further, it deals with a vital social issue of our times: - the thousands of people in Britain who just disappear, often never to be heard of again by family or friends. Her experiences give a message of hope both to runaways themselves – youngsters who, as she once did, are fleeing from unhappy home life – and to parents who grieve for their lost children.
